Harvestbooster ear loosening plate
Our ear opening plate ensures optimized removal of the grains from the ear. Optimally positioned, it ensures that more grains are released. These are also transported in the crop flow to sorted at the bottom, a kind of pre-separation. The ear separating plate also serves to further equalize possible compaction and to feed the crop flow very evenly to the rotor.
The Harvestbooster ear lifting plate is made from proven and robust S 355 steel. The diamonds are pre-cut using laser technology, formed under a special press and spot-welded. We manufacture the ear lifting plate ourselves by hand.
The ear lifting plate is mounted in the lower part of the inclined conveyor. It is important that the plate is positioned exactly in the right place. The plate starts approx. 40 – 50 cm after the front edge of the entrance of the inclined conveyor. It is fastened with 12 – 15 screws, depending on the width. A distance of 1 – 2 cm parallel to the normally tensioned chain is ideal.
We recommend welding the panel at the tips (approx. 3 cm) and sanding this area down heavily.
For machines where the gap between the chain and the floor cannot be guaranteed, it is necessary to supplement the ear lifting plate with skids.
